Amazing
One of the best experiences of my life. A lot of love and connectivity, a very enchanting location mixed with the right people and music made it a great weekend. - Ophiuchus , posted 04/09/08

Welcome Home
Harvestfest aka WookieFest
(excerpt taken from the website. I just want everyone I know about this amazing and magical experience.)

"This is the most magical fairy forest in all the land !! The Harmony playground is on a lake with giant oak elders providing shade and shelter for the whole campground. It is surrounded by farmland hence the name "Harvest", which has been a tradition for years. This sacred site has been a place for the live music community to gather and befriend one another around campfires and under majestic stars. Harvest Festival for many of us is our last summer shindig and we come to play with our festifamily one last time before winter..... come play with us !!

The size of Harvest Fest allows for individuals to share their magic and make a big impact on the whole.... It was here that Wookiefoot got its first oppurtunity to "Make Believe" with the crowd. The overwhelming joy created sparked a Nationwide tour bringing Fairys, Fire, Drumming, and Prankstering to festivals all over. The response has been amazing... but we have always felt that sooo much more could be done !!!.... Hence the merging of Harvest Fest and Wookie Fest. With the keys to the gate we can now pull off anything and everything imaginable. Last year we had 300 performers.... from Fire rituals, Free healing arts center, Sheet dancing, Native American traditional drumming and chanting, A marching band, Alice in wonderland tea party, Parades, Spiral dancing, Labrinth work shop, 3D black light painting station .....and ...on...and....on. This year we are asking you to bring your magic and share your gifts with the family !! The vision of everyone bringing something of personal meaning and value to give to a brother from another mother or a sister from another mister is HIGH HIGH !! What's your gift ?!??!?...Drumming, singing, food, message, bubbles, hugs, stones, crystals, jokes, dance, jewelry, fairy wings, stickers, costumes.... whatchu got ?!?!

This is a rare and well preserved energy that is being lost to Huge, Big Name, Big Money, Big Venues. In keeping with tradition and respect for the trees we like to keep this show small. This allows for a real peaceful connected home vibe where-in we draw each others love energy out and the entire scene bursts with hugs and smiles. In maintaining this vibe we invite artists with positive energy who are mostly from nearby towns and states. This way we keep it more local and get to bond with our neighboring festifamilys.

WELCOME HOME ! "

This year's fest is scheduled for September 8th-10th. This will be my 3rd year going. Tickets are on sale now. If you have any questions about the festival please ask. I could go on and on about it all day...I wish I knew how to express my feelings while there. If you have any curiousity about it at all please visit Marshall Lee's photo galleries, at the site.

Make Believe is all around:
"Make Believe uses Reiki, sound vibration therapy, guided meditation, and improvisational theater to transform the festival grounds into an interactive fantasy playground. Players encounter characters who function as guides(The Doctor, The Mystic Tuner, The Monk)who assist you in the pursuit of the Zen concept of Nothing, or No-Thing (see comic book). Every player experiences the game differently as the characters improvise around Make Believer's reactions to this philosophical and spiritual scavenger hunt. Make Believe impacts a festival with a playful degree of intrigue and mystery; rumors of the game spread from campfire to campfire as festival goers realize that there is something truly unique afoot."
